Any language can be used. However, proposals must include a summary in Japanese or English or Catalan.

Papers (20 minutes) [face-to-face*].

Individual presentations may submit original contributions on research, theory, and practice related to the revitalization of indigenous and minoritized languages. The proposal must clearly indicate the relevance of the presentation to the main objectives of this international conference. Presentations will be 20 minutes in length, with 10 minutes for questions and answers following the presentation.

*Online presentations are permitted for students participating from outside Japan. However, participants must prepare their own invitation links such as Zoom.

Panels (90 minutes) [face-to-face or hybrid**].

Individual or group participants may propose panels on specific topics. The panel will consist of a moderator, three to four participants, and a discussant. Each participant's presentation (15-20 minutes) will be followed by a 15-minute speech by the discussant, and finally a 15-minute Q&A session.

**At least one participant must be present on site. Participants must also provide their own PC and adapter (for Mac) and invitation link such as Zoom. You can use eduroam at the venue.

Round tables (60 minutes) [face-to-face or hybrid***].

Any individual or group participant may propose to organize a round table on any subject related to the topic of the conference. A round table consists of a moderator and three to four participants. Each participant will present a different perspective on the proposed topic (5-7 minutes). The majority of the session is devoted to dialogue between the participants and the audience.

Interactive workshops (60 minutes) [face-to-face].


The workshop will begin with a short presentation by the proposer on a single topic, explaining the concept or theory. This will be followed by an informal, interactive discussion among all participants. Individual presentations will not be given.
